The future of energy services

Mobilize is working on future technology for electric vehicles to expand its offer of easy charging solutions for the home, the workplace, and on the road.

  • V2G (vehicle-to-grid): this technology will make it possible for electric vehicle batteries to be used to store energy, but also to supply energy to the grid, thereby halving the cost of vehicle charging by monetizing battery storage capacity.

The ‘Mobilize V2G’ service will be available as of 2024 and incorporate:

    • A bidirectional charger with V2G technology;
    • The Mobilize PowerBox charging station, designed with Software République;
    • An electricity contract with Mobilize's technology partner The Mobility House, to guarantee carbon-neutral electricity;
    • A smartphone app to manage bidirectional charging.

  • Plug & Charge: the Plug & Charge function allows you to connect your electric vehicle to a charging station without having to use a badge or credit card. The car and charging station communicate with each other, charging starts automatically, and the customer is billed directly, without having to do a thing.

The service will be available free-of-charge in 2024 via the Mobilize Charge Pass.

The future Renault 5 electric will be the first Renault Group vehicle to incorporate these two technologies. Other vehicles will follow...

Connectivity for mobility

Mobilize unveils its project for a smartphone app dedicated to the future Duo vehicle with assistance from Fluo, the brand's avatar.

  • Digital key: the app can be used to share your Duo vehicle with friends or family by generating a digital key
  • Geolocation: the app can be used to find your Duo, when changing between users, or you just can’t remember where you parked it.
  • Recharging: the app can be used to see how much charge is left in the battery and the vehicle’s remaining range.

The app will also feature the vehicle’s primary functionalities and characteristics, including a digital copy of the user manual and useful tips.

Mobilize is also thinking of additional features to enhance the app, such as:

  • Access to mobility solutions other than Duo such as taxi or ride-hail services, or vehicle rentals via Mobilize Share.
  • App customization – adding and removing widgets that can be positioned on the home screen according to the user’s own needs and desires.
